Peninnah is an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda and a Corporate Governance Professional with vast experience of over 30 years at senior management level in the Banking and Insurance sectors as In- House General Counsel and Company Secretary.
She specializes in Corporate and Financial Law; High value Construction and Commercial Contracts negotiations, drafting and management; providing Legal Risk Management with business appropriate solutions; Corporate Governance including designing governance frameworks, structures, board policy and procedure manuals, and Company Annual reports; Corporate Governance training; Developing Corporate Strategy And Human Resource and Administration.
Peninnah has a passion and personal mission of supporting local enterprises become (more) viable through application of good corporate governance practices that will enable them to transcend to the next generation and beyond.
She has therefore intentionally spent the largest part of her career with indigenous institutions starting in the Insurance Industry for 12 years with United Assurance (now UAP Old Mutual) and thereafter with Centenary Group and Centenary Bank for 20 years.
She serves as a Director on Boards; presently on one of a financial institution and another in Insurance. She is also Chairperson of a not-for- profit organization.
